There are definitely a lot of Windows 7 builds that get leaked in the last weeks. The latest which appeared on popular Bittorrent websites just a few hours ago is Windows 7 Build 7057 32-bit which has been created by Microsoft just six days ago.
The latest leaked build of Windows 7 comes with several interesting changes that are worth mentioned. The expiry date for build 7057 has been set to March 2, 2010 which is almost a year from now and nearly seven months after the officially released beta version expires. This could hint at a release of Windows 7 in early 2010 as we predicted a few days ago.

Eyargh!! I JUST finished reformatting and reinstalling 7048 not 12 hours ago! (torrent was slow) I can’t keep up!
I’m running 7022, think this will be faster/better?
Should I upgrade?
Thanks
Definitely, 7048 and 7057 have numerous stability improvements, plus the ability to remove things like media center and IE.
I cant keep up either.
NOOOOOO! I JUST HAD TO COMPLETELY REFORMAT MY 500 GB HARDISK TO INSTALL win7 7048 ( there were some unforrseeable events like power faliur half way throug hinstallation and when the power came back instead of dual booting I was surprisingly hexa booting and none of them worked.
Now i just installed it not even an hour……… DAMN IT ALL TO HECK!
I still have build 7000. Do you really need to format and start from scratch with these new builds? Is there no upgrade ability?
Upgading is possible. just burn the iso and start the installer from windows (boot from dvd wont work for upgrading)
You can upgrade in place without the iso. just put the files on an external drive and from within windows click the setup.exe file. it’ll walk you through the upgrade and you’ll be set in no time. Although if you found some custom drivers you’ll have to reload those once it’s all done.
Since I installed Mac OS X 10.6 i haven’t even bothered with the latest Win7 updates. Snow Leopard runs beautiful, with all the features of Win7 and more. I’ll probably wait ’till Win7 final is released before I bother with it again.
