Windows 7 Box Shots Appear

Polish news site CentrumXP posted several Windows 7 box shots on their website. It is not clear yet if these are official box shots or simply photoshopped to look like the real deal. Anyway, you can check them out by following the link above or by taking a look at the images below. They look like they could be legit. Let us hear your opinion in the comments.

As has been pointed out on a few of the w7 sites I peruse, these are almost certainly photoshops. The font used on the packaging doesn’t match that used within windows 7, the colors don’t match, the boxes themselves appear to have skewed perspectives from one image to the next, and why on earth does the “upgrade” packaging show a picture of itself on a crudely pasted-on laptop and specify only from one product to another when you can upgrade any version of w7 assuming you’ve got the hardware?

if this is even remotely legitimate, it’s got to be very early mock-ups, and nothing approaching final packaging I’d wager.

The problem here is that it says “Move up to Windows 7 Professional from Home Premium.” And that is it. All other upgrade software relased by Microsoft says “For users with “OS”, “OS”, or “OS” only” EX.: Windows Vista Home premium upgrade says “For users with Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP, or Windows Vista.” What the fuck is the point of getting a Windows 7 upgrade only to upgrade Windows 7? That is why this picture is photoshopped, because Microsoft would make sure you know what OS’s you can use by labeling in on the front.
