Yesterday I wrote about Microsoft Surface, and the touch technology that it was bringing to consumers. Today I’d like to write about Touch Pack for Windows 7. These are game applications to be used with touch-enabled monitors and computers running Windows 7. The touch technology that is available allows you to interact with the screen using your fingers. The Touch Pack will give you a taste of what Microsoft Surface technology and Windows 7 touch capabilities have to offer.
Touch Pack
These applications, made for the Windows 7 operating system by the Microsoft Surface team, are created especially for touch-enabled monitors and computers. With Microsoft Surface Globe, Microsoft Surface Collage, and Microsoft Surface Lagoon, you can discover the world at your fingertips, create well-designed and memorable desktop images, and play with fish and water in a memorable screen saver.
But there are other game elements available to Touch Pack
- Surface Globe is a hands-on, is a world-exploration application based on Microsoft Bing Maps content and technology. You can explore the Earth as a flat 2-D map or as an immersive 3-D experience!
- Microsoft Surface Collage enables you to arrange your own photos and effortlessly save the arrangement as an impressive, designed desktop background.
- Microsoft Surface Lagoon is both a screen saver and an interactive water simulation—complete with a meditative rock arrangement and playful, shy fish! Use your fingers to manipulate the water and have the school of fish respond.
- Microsoft Blackboard is an intricate game of physics in which you solve a puzzle by creating a fanciful machine on a blackboard.
- Microsoft Garden Pond is a tranquil game that takes place in serene Japanese water gardens.
- Microsoft Rebound is a game in which you use your fingertips to move Tesla balls with an electrical field between them to catapult a metal game ball into your opponent’s goal.

The Touch Pack comes preinstalled on some multitouch PCs running Windows 7, but it isn’t included in Windows 7 because it is a touch screen technology.

I been looking for touch screens for my computer but I cant seem to found one of my liking.
unless there is a device that will enable my existing screen to touch screen…that will be great.
