Surreal Art gets a lot of attention because an artist can combine standard and normal images in unusual ways. Out of World War I and the Dada art movenemt Surrealism developed in Paris to reflect the dissatisfaction of the art of the day, but also to allow artists to express themselves in new ways. In the 20′s the art movement had an impact of the visual arts, literature, film, and music of many countries and languages. Although some have claimed that it had an impact in political and social theory, if it was it was embedded in the manefestations of other more powerful forces and ideologies that were appearing at that time, like communism and fascism.
The goal was that by freeing people from what they saw as false rationality, and restrictive customs and structures, a new human order would develop and take over; one without preconceptions.
