Do not adjust your computer monitors. The title of this post is correct and a few different sources are saying that there may be an appearance by, Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer at WWDC on June 7th. According to analyst, Trip Chowdhry with Global Equities Research, a portion of the WWDC keynote will be a presentation of Microsoft’s new Visual Studio 2010.
It’s reported that the new Visual Studio will allow developers to write native apps for the iPhone, iPad and Mac. The presentation would give a Microsoft rep an estimated 7 minutes to speak about the new version. It has been speculated that if Ballmer doesn’t deliver the presentation, Bob Muglia would be the one.
I would be a bit skeptical about this one, however, it wouldn’t be the first time a high-ranking rep from Microsoft took the stage with Jobs. Lookup ‘Macworld 1997’ or ‘Bill Gates and Steve Jobs Together’ on YouTube and you’ll see what I mean. Take it with a grain of salt, but this would be quite a show if both Ballmer and Jobs hit the stage together at once.

UPDATED: As Robert noted in the comments section, Microsoft has debunked Trip Chowdhry’s speculation, that Ballmer would appear at WWDC, via their Twitter account. It was fun to imagine those two CEO’s together on one stage, but it’s definitely not going to happen. Rumor mongers will instead have to turn their wild speculations towards Apple’s next big product…the iWatch.
