We have already revealed some of the features that users can expect from Windows 8 including My PC My Way, that improves user interaction aond comfort with sensors, and My PC Knows Me, that makes use of facial recognition to identify users. Those features are on the other hand just the tip of the iceberg.
A leaked document reveals additional features including better wireless connectivity and stereoscopic 3D support.
Windows 8 aims to make it as easy as possible to make use of wireless and USB displays. It is for instance possible to duplicate the computer screen on a remote display. Microsoft exemplifies this with a situation where a user uses a simple keyboard shortcut to send a TV show found in the web browser to a flat screen display to view it on the larger screen.
Windows 8 will support stereoscopic 3D in both games and movies. Hardware support includes lots of 3D capable devices including TVs and monitors, laptops and photo cameras as well as wireless TVs, wireless docking stations and USB monitors.
Hardware acceleration aims to provide a better experience not only when browsing the Internet but also in other applications like Windows Live Photo Gallery.

They have to fix bugs in existing features before implementing anything new, and this is going to take time since Win7 seems to contains an enormous amount of rot code. Taking in account that Microsoft is in trouble by now, because Win7 is another major failure in business market, it would be a bad idea to care about “bells and whistles”. As for the “leaked document”, it’s a stupid hoax made by a random Apple fanboy.
150 million licenses sold in 10 months is a major failure?
You know the difference between consumer and business market? Think again.
The corporation I work for used XP till recently and now rolling out Windows 7 Enterprise x64… I know that difference when I see it…
@jim: lol
jim o.o; really? window = win; xp = fail now:P
Also… Theses sounds cool in all… but man… that’s a lot of bloat wear to me… I mean… I rather see improvments to restart … instead of a full shut down right down to the bios again, why not just shutdown/close windows, skip the reboot in bios check, then restart windows like it did if the bios check was perform? Save 5-20secs in reboot:) That’ll be a well over 50-75% increase in boot time.
Hey apple fan boy, get a new bumper and stop hitting your head against the wall!!
@jim Apple fan boy who? Im a PC and I love Win7 sucker!
microsoft suckzz!!mac rockzz
