We’re getting to the exciting part of the Wimbledon tennis championships and, as if by way of a miracle, the sun’s out. To mark this unusual occurrence there’s a new Wimbledon theme has been released by Ali Raza of MicrosoftFeed.
It’s the 125th time the famous lawn tennis championships have been held with the tournaments beginning back in 1877. By many people around the world Wimbledon is considered the most prestigious of all tennis championships (and we British would never disagree with them).
The tournament is one of four international grand-slam events. The others being the Australian Open, the French Open and the US Open. It also has some extremely strict rules which include the famous “players must always wear white”, which many believe adds a certain class to the two week event.
The tournament runs until July 3rd in London (UK) and is a great event for drama, royal patronage, grunting and, of course rain and strawberries.
The theme contains a selection of action shots from the tournament over the years including the obligatory “crowd sitting in rain”. There are no strawberries and cream however, but this is an excellent opportunity to add your own
