Here are some automation tools that will help you create scripts for hotkeys to use.
AutoHotkey is a free, open-source utility for Windows. You can:
Automate almost anything by sending keystrokes and mouse clicks. You can write a mouse or keyboard macro by hand, or use the macro recorder. With it you can create hotkeys for keyboards, joysticks, or mouse. It also lets you create a hotkey for almost any key, button, or combination. You can also expand abbreviations as you type them. The abbreviation, btw, can automatically produce “by the way.” But, you have other capabilities at your disposal also including the ability to create custom data-entry forms, user interfaces, and menu bars. Remap keys and buttons on your keyboard, joystick, and mouse.
You can respond to signals from hand-held remote controls via the WinLIRC client script. You can convert any script into an EXE file that can be run on computers that don’t have AutoHotkey installed.
There is a tutorial to help you get started with creating scripts and getting the most out of the software.

With Do It Again you can make your computer automatically perform a task for you, whenever you want. The task is easy, first record a task (or macro) then sit back and watch as your computer automates that task, clicking the mouse and pressing the keyboard by itself.
If there is something that you do on your computer to repeat, and you want to do it exactly the same way every time (such as backing up your pictures, checking web-based email for new messages, etc.), you can tell Do It Again how to perform that task (by doing it once yourself to create the new task). Then you can run that task whenever you want. The program will automatically click the buttons and press the keyboard keys (in exactly the same way as when you created the task), while you sit back and watch the task being performed on the screen.
This is also called macro or automation software, as it allows you to record a macro, then play it back to automate the actions of that macro.

AutoIt v3 is a freeware scripting language designed for automating the Windows GUI and general scripting. With a combination of simulated keystrokes, mouse movement and window/control manipulation you can automate tasks in a way not possible or reliable with other languages. AutoIt is also very small, self-contained and will run on all versions of Windows out-of-the-box with no annoying “runtimes” required!
AutoIt was initially designed for PC “roll out” situations to reliably automate and configure thousands of PCs. However, it has become a powerful language that supports complex expressions, user functions, loops and everything else that veteran scripters would expect. It has grown into a more full-fledged automation tools.
