According to Boy Genius Report, Nokia is planning on releasing a Lumia 900 Windows Phone device in the US in early 2012 as its flagship handset. The smartphone will come along with a massive marketing campaign as they did in the UK and other areas. The device specs are rumored to be: 1.4GHz processor, 4.3-inch Nokia Clear Black AMOLED display and an 8MP camera. The device is likely to include the first of two Tango updates and be announced at CES 2012 in January and is said to be available shortly after.
Nokia has taken a little flak for leaving out the US market in their initial push, however, Nokia felt as though they could not target the US as aggressively as they wanted had they launched their devices alongside of their Europe counterparts. It’s also believed that Nokia was waiting on some significant technologies, specifically LTE support, before bringing their devices to the States.
Nokia has yet to release any information about their plans for the US market, but they have stated that they plan to come at the US market very hard. With the Nokia brand being much less popular in the United States, it will take some creative and constant marketing effort to lift brand recognition over here.

I’m dreaming but it will be good to see a Nokia tablet.
…is it just me or have the internals for the various Lumia handsets so far been very boooring and old? Take the single core 1.4GHz processor for example…no phone needs 1.4GHz in one core alone…a dual core 1GHz CPU is probably more functional and would amount to greater energy/performance flexibility…
