Review Feature in Internet Explorer

I have used Internet Explorer 9 for some time and have found the new Preview feature useful when searching for information. When you do a search and get a list of files, you can now preview each entry to see if you’ve got the article you want. This useful feature saves you a lot of time reading  each search item’s  summary and then scrolling to find the information you want. Often this information can be sketchy!

This is how it works. Move the mouse pointer over an item that you may want. Immediately, a double arrow button appears on the right hand side of the chosen entry.

Moving the mouse pointer on the  double arrow displays a preview version of the article in question. This new feature works in the same way when you are using a touch screen. Press the double-arrow button with your finger and you get a result.

Handy eh!

As a matter of interest, the same feature is available in Internet Explorer 10 that comes with Windows 8 Preview.

Google has had this feature with their search for almost a year.  The author of the article clearly does not state with search site he is on when he sees this feature or if he is using a site.

I like this feature with Google.  Though, lately it seems like more and more websites seem to have a standard layout, rather than wanting to stand out amongst the crowd.

Umm, it’s not just available in google – is certainly in Bing too and has been for a long time.

I was not sure if it was a Bing feature as I use Google.

Was going to comment but then saw the other comments correcting you. Yes, it’s a feature on Google and I’m sure other search engines. Plus even if it WERE a feature on IE10, I’m certain Firefox and even Chome would have an adon that does the same thing better.

Bad article, no real research, and it was changed from the original which listed it as an IE10 exclusive feature.
