Hi, after installing Widows 7, my headphones won’t work when connected to the PC’s front panel. My PC is an HP Pavilion M7415.uk just over 3 years old. According to the manufacturer’s specs, it has integrated high definition audio viz. Realtek ALC 883 chipset. When checking Device Manager, it seems that the Realtek device has for want of a better word been hijacked by a Microsoft  High Definition Audio Device along with its driver and now although headphones have been plugged in, I get a statement saying they are not. Not the most important issue, but I’d like to get it sorted. Can anyone help please? Thanks in advance.
John
