I had a problem with my touchpad, my computer is a laptop (of course), model HP G42-374BR with [u:31nlndyw][b:31nlndyw]windows 7[/b:31nlndyw][/u:31nlndyw] and it does not have any [u:31nlndyw][b:31nlndyw]path to enable or disable the touchpad[/b:31nlndyw][/u:31nlndyw], so I had to discover by myself, and the worse thing is that every single forum I tried to consult had a person with the same problem that was not solved (the majority of foruns solved the problem by saying to uninstal and instal again the driver). So that I have solved the problem, dicided to share with you:

1- Open the bar "start"
2- "Control Painel"
3- "Hardwares ans sounds"
4- Under "devices and printers", click on "Mouse"
5- Click on the tab "Hardware"
6- There will be 2 devices: mouse and touchpad: select "touchpad"
7- Click on tab "Device Configuration", and on the button "Enable"

I hope it helps!!! (I had no help for that…)
