I have two computers connected together through a switch hub.
One of them Windows XP, the other is Windows 7.
I have printer installed and connected directly to the XP computer.
Before 10 days everything was good, the printer was shred and I was able to view the windows XP computer and also to print from Windows 7.
BUT now;
1- I can’t see windows XP from Windows 7 in the (Network work group computers).  As well as I can’t see windows 7 from Windows XP.
2- I can’t see and use the printer from my windows 7.

Note:
1- From windows 7 I can ping to Windows XP. But from Windows XP I can’t ping to Windows 7.
2- Both computers have the same workgroup name.

What is the problem?
Why before was good but now is not good.

Has the IP address of the Windows 7 computer changed recently?

All machines must be within the same subnet – so for example, if you have 192.168.0.1 and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0, you have to make sure all computers have IP addresses between 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.255.

Dear Sir,

Thank you very much for the answer.

I didn’t changed the IP.
IP is Auto.
and the Subnet Mask is 255.255.255.0
Gateway is 192.168.1.1
and IP range is 192.168.1.xx

Thank you
