I made the mistake of starting to use speech recognition before going through the Training Process. Now I am unable to access that part of the program and  I really need it. I understand now that if you pass it up when starting the program it is not accessible later.
Could I solve that problem by removing the Speech Recognition software and reinstalling it, or is it available for download from Microsoft as a separate download?

If you’re referring to the built-in Windows Speech Recognition functionality, you can run through the setup and training procedure via the Control Panel.

Either go into the control panel, change the "View By" option in the top right to either Large or Small Icons. Select Speech Recognition, and select either "Set Up Microphone" or "Train your computer to better understand you", and it will run through the set up again.
