Does your Windows7 PopUp Blocker Work – Test it

Most popup ads are written in Javascript. When you load a page with popups, the task of the blocker can find and recognize the Javascript. The blocker looks at the JavaScript code to see if it is launching the page to open a popup window; the blocker interrupts the command before the browser can complete the launch. On other popup that open when you pass your cursor over an ad, the blocker kills that operation also, but you may see the ad temporarily come up and then disappear quickly. The Javascript code, in this instance, may be more difficult to find through a page scan.
